This was one of our first, and largest, projects. It required 3 months of preparation and planning to even place the bid. Smith Specialized was awarded the project with a bid of$220,000 per skid, beating the major carriers. We loaded on June 15, pulled out the next day and arrived on July 25. This was a difficult project, not only because of the size of the load and the pre-planning involved, but also because this was our first move into Mexico. These skids were the 3 largest and final pieces of the whole Costa Azul project and required a lot of attention to detail and triple-checking of the details to ensure that everything went according to plan.
